Title

Vinaccia, Pasquale 1877 Ornate Fluted Mandolin re-topped by Luigi Embergher

Description

This instrument was crafted by the renowned Pasquale Vinaccia in Naples in 1877. By 1903, it required restoration and was brought to the workshop of Luigi Embergher, where it was re-topped in his distinctive style and fitted with a new fretboard.

The instrument bears Luigi Embergher’s signature on the inner side of the soundboard and retains both the original Pasquale Vinaccia paper label and the later-added Luigi Embergher paper label on the inner side of the bowl.
