Rokutaro Nakade was the brother of Sakazo Nakade, the renowned Japanese luthier who trained with José Ramírez III in Madrid, Spain. While both Sakazo and Rokutaro built fine guitars, Rokutaro also produced some exceptionally well-made mandolins.
Offered here is a beautiful Model A50, crafted with Brazilian rosewood (Jacaranda) body and a solid spruce top. This instrument is an excellent example of Rokutaro Nakade's work, combining attractive materials, quality craftsmanship, and a warm, balanced tone.
